The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent and his wife Karen hosted the 2018 Officers’ Dinner for his Officers and their Ladies last Saturday evening. This year Makeney Hall Hotel just south of Belper was chosen as the venue – and a great choice it was. Nearly seventy attended and some stayed overnight to enjoy the event to the full. The Second Provincial Principal, Philip Wright, proposed the health of Charles and Karen and in his response Charles thanked all for attending, especially the two couples who were there on their wedding anniversaries. It would seem that having married on 22nd September substantially improves your chance of promotion to a Provincial Principal.
