A delegation of 27 Acting Officers, lead by the Grand Superintendent, attended Dorothy Vernon Chapter No 2129 at the Town Hall, Bakewell, on Tuesday 19th May 2015.

This was the first ‘outing’ of the new Provincial team – which gave the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, EComp Niall Johnson, ample opportunity to demonstrate his persistent demand for perfection by ensuring the team was well drilled for this important occasion.

A total of 49 Companions witnessed the Exaltation of Bro. Roger Wilkinson. The ceremony was jointly and splendidly led by the MEZ, EComp James Bentley and the IPZ, Alan Kay. They were superbly supported by all their team of Officers, notably the Principal Sojourner, Comp Michael Hitchcock.

A most enjoyable Festive Board was held at the Rutland Arms Hotel, during which EComps Alan Kay and Roger Bishop were congratulated on their recent appointments in Provincial Grand Chapter to Acting 2nd Assistant Grand Sojourner and Past Grand Scribe Nehemiah, respectively.

A Raffle in aid of the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund raised the magnificent total of £218.

The whole evening proved to be a special and memorable occasion both for the Province and for the Chapter, in particular.
