At Ashfield House (Burton Masonic Hall) on 18 July there will be the Mayor of East Staffordshire’s (EComp Simon Gaskin’s) Bowls Match. Simon would be delighted to have as many masons as possible there to take on the councillors – though it seems to me that councillors are experts at bowls (talking, if not playing) and couldn’t possibly be outclassed by masons. But the event is held to raise money for the Mayor’s Charity – so please turn up and give it your best.
