On 30th November 1967 Bryan Walkerdine a MM of Mentor Lodge No 7064 was exalted into Mentor Chapter No 7064.

On 30th November 2017 in order to celebrate E Comp Bryan Walkerdine’s continuous service and membership to Mentor Chapter and the Provincial Grand Chapter of Derbyshire, the Deputy Grand Superintendent E Comp Graeme Hutchinson, PGStB, attended the regular convocation of Mentor Chapter in order to present E Comp Bryan Walkerdine with a 50 year Jubilee Certificate on behalf of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent.

In the presence of 4 other officers of Supreme Grand Chapter and 16 other Companions E Comp Hutchinson with the assistance of E Comp Walkerdine recalled a brief history of E Comp Walkerdine’s life from his early years in Quarndon, his career in the motor trade, national service in the RAF, his career in Amos Wright Travel, his family life with his wife Pat, and their eventual relocation to Cumbria.

Despite living 135 miles away E Comp Walkerdine is still one of the most regular attenders at his Derbyshire Masonic Units including those of the Craft, Mark, Royal Ark Mariners and Rose Croix as well as his Chapter.

In the Royal Arch Bryan was MEZ of the Chapter in 1979 and after several Provincial appointments was promoted to PPGSN in 1996 and received the Grand Superintendents Certificate of Merit in 2013. He is also a Founder Member of Flowerden Chapter No 7576 in the Province of Cumberland & Westmorland.

The attached shows the presentation to E Comp Walkerdine supported by the Three Principals of the Chapter.

I am sure you would all wish to congratulate Bryan Walkerdine on this remarkable achievement.
