Mundy Grove Chapter’s new set of banners was dedicated last Thursday (8th December) by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent and twenty five of his team of Provincial Officers under the direction of EComp. Graeme Hutchinson, the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies.
An almost full temple included not only our Deputy Grand Superintendent and Second and Third Principals but also the Grand Superintendent in and over Nottinghamshire, the Grand Sojourner and Grand Assistant Sojourner in the persons of the Provincial Grand Masters of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Mark Master Masons of Derbyshire and a smattering of other past SGC Officers.

The ceremony of dedication explained the placing of the twelve ensigns and the significance of the four principal banners.

At the festive board a short history of the Chapter was delivered, and the final instalment of the payment for the Chapter’s original equipment was made to Robin Hood Chapter – a mere 127 years late. Interest was waived!

A cheque for the generous proceeds of the raffle was presented tothe Grand Superintendent for the benefit of Derbyshire Royal Arch charities.
