The 2019 Officers’ Dinner for Officers and their Ladies took place on Saturday at the Cathedral Quarter Hotel in St. Mary’s Gate, Derby. The Opulence Restaurant looked splendid and provided a grand setting for the occasion. Reached by a marble staircase, the panelled room was the sort of place where our earliest Royal Arch Masons might have had their banquets – except of course at that time it was a police station, or was it the county administrative offices – it’s been both. We were treated so well I think we’ll be back next year (but perhaps with more veg!).
