The Second Grand Principal, E. Comp. Russell Race, arrived in style at the Annual Convocation of Provincial Grand Chapter on Saturday. E. Comp. Chris Parnham, in his pride and joy, chauffeured the Second Grand Principal from the Cathedral Quarter Hotel to The Grange in exemplary fashion. From the photographs you can see that the journey was enjoyed.
A full temple of 250 companions included guests from 14 other Provinces and Heads of 10 Other Orders in Derbyshire. They were a great support to those who were appointed and promoted in Provincial Rank. The Second Grand Principal delivered an inspiring address which was well received by all present.
The lunch which followed was a happy and enjoyable experience among the swathes of Chapter-red Anthuriums, but it wasn’t quite as humid as their (the anthuriums’) natural rain forest home. And all was finished in time for the rugby – but the least said about that the better.
