Ex Companion Arthur Badger of Tutbury Priory Chapter No.4873 recently heard of the outstanding work performed at the Saxon Hill Academy and Physical Disability Support Service, situated at Kings Hill Road, Lichfield in Staffordshire. He encouraged his companions to support this worthy cause.

Saxon Hill was opened by Her Majesty the Queen on 6th June 1980 and recently acquired Academy Status. It presently caters for some 100 patients of varying degrees of disability and has staff and volunteers supporting them on a ‘one to one’ basis. Patient ages range from 2 and a half to 19 years old. They have a small ground level swimming pool with hoist facilities, a ground level trampoline, computer room and close by is Lichfield food bank where all patients are encouraged to participate under supervision.

On Thursday 23rd November 2017 three Companions (Arthur Badger, George Frost and David Brown) arrived at the Academy to be well greeted by Mr Wesley Morris who escorted them around. Evident in bucket-loads was the compassion shown to all the patients. They presented a cheque for £400 from Tutbury Priory Chapter to assist the academy with all its good work.
