On the evening of Monday 28th November Ecclesburne Chapter hosted the ME Grand Superintendent, his Deputy, the Second and Third Principals, the Grand Assistant Sojourner and many members of the Provincial team.

The highlight of the evening was a talk entitled “The Fact, Fiction and Fable of the Royal Arch” delivered in his inimitable style by EComp. Edward Patnick PAGSoj from the Province of Yorkshire West Riding. This was a most stimulating talk, suggesting that our ceremony of exaltation may be based on the duties of the High Priest on the Day of Atonement and have been written for the Duke of Sussex by his friend the Chief Rabbi.

The Chapter gave notice of two new exaltees and a joining member and will be busy next year!

At a convivial full to capacity festive board over £200 was presented to the speaker for his favoured charity “Tommy’s the Baby Charity”.
